DESI has been partnering with various Dt Administrations in several States in promoting multi-sector awareness specially health and drug awareness. Family Health Awareness Programmes were taken up in the Slums of Delhi and NCR resettlement colonies which covered specially migrants from several States. We conducted an Environmental Rally at Moradabad where 32 school children, teachers participated. Post rally a meeting was conducted where almost all Govt departments participated viz. COMMUNITY/WOMEN EMPOWERMENT ACTIVITIES

Social education/women�s empowerment interventions have been promoted in several States covering specially the common women. DESI, during various periods, has conducted Skills/ vocational training for the poorer sections who are the unemployed young people both men and women. The school children were taken to educate about them about the ecological biodiversity and how birds live in harmony with environment and how birds help to protect the environment. DESI RECEIVED 2 AWARDS FROM GOVT.

DESI Received 2 AWARDS from the Government one for Women's Empowerment and another for Environmental Innovations. DESI ensured 98% loan repayment by 350 SHG group members, which was recognized by the Govt. Honorable Smt. Swati Singh, Minister Govt of U.P., gave this award. Secondly, we developed several environmental poems/codes, produced 2 environmental calenders and produced 30000 T-shirts on which the code was printed and distributed to school children/community youth. Surveys For DESI, data collection is a process and not an event. Information on citizens is a basic tool for Gram Panchayats level planning. Hence, DESI initiated people based surveys and micro-planning throughout India.
