SUCCESSFUL SHG FORMATION, WOMEN's EMPOWERMENT AND ENTERPRISES DEVELOPMENT USING MICRO-CREDIT/BANK LOANS.

DESI formed several thousand SHGs all over India. In Western U.P., DESI partnered with NABARD in forming 230 SHGs in 3 Western U.P. Districts Due to successful SHGs and enterprises using bank loans such as, garments, honey production, Leather Jacket, Paper Bags, Transport businesses, Tent house Businesses, Fruits and Vegetable businesses, Agro-Trading, milk processed products such as sweets, panneer etc., pickles making and 98% loan repayment by SHG members, DESI got award. DESI’S DIRECTOR, SMT. JESI ANNAPOORANAM, GOT AN AWARD FROM NABARD GIVEN BY SMT. SWATI SINGH, HON’BLE MINISTER IN U.P. GOVT. DESI got 3 grants consecutively in 3 years due to successful SHG interventions and women's empowerment.
