Skills Development, Mini Forestry and Poverty Alleviation Project
In 50 Schools including Govt. Schools, we trained school children and community youth in saplings production and planting. We planted 10000 saplings which are now standing as tall trees including medicinal value plants such as Jamun (black berry), Neem, Amla (Goose berry), flower plants such as Gulmohar. We produced environmental literature, advocated good environmental practices, conducted nature tours for 3000 children and 200 teachers in Dt. Moradabad, promoted awareness to 1200 beneficiaries, trained 200 teachers and core group children in saplings production and promoting mini-forestry.
